Terms of Use
The terms that apply to your use of CareCheck.
1. What CareCheck is
CareCheck (“we”, “us”) provides a web tool that reads assisted living and memory care documents you upload and produces a summary of costs, terms, conflicts between documents, and questions to ask. CareCheck provides document-based educational information only. It does not provide legal, medical, or financial advice, does not represent you, and does not recommend a facility.
2. Your account
You must provide an accurate email address and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to handle the documents you upload.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the documents you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to provide the service to you and anyone you invite. You confirm you are permitted to upload each document. Do not upload documents belonging to people who have not authorised you to act for them.
4. Purchases
Paid products are described on the Pricing page and sold through our payment processor, Polar. One-time products grant access to analyse a set number of facilities within one decision. Prices are in US dollars. Because analysis begins immediately and consumes provider costs, purchases are generally non-refundable; if an analysis failed or was materially wrong, contact support and we will correct it or refund it at our discretion.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no uploading malware, no attempting to access other users' data, no automated scraping, and no reselling CareCheck output as professional advice.
6. No warranty; limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that every figure or term is complete or correct — extraction from documents is imperfect, which is why every material figure links to its source and can be corrected. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. You may stop using CareCheck and delete your account at any time.
