CareCheck is a document-based decision tool for families evaluating assisted living or memory care. We read the residency agreement, fee schedule, and any written offer you upload, and return a defensible monthly cost with a source for every number — without ever accepting payment from the facility itself.
Independent
CareCheck does not accept referral fees or any payment from senior living communities, and never will. The family who buys a review is the only customer, so the analysis works for one side of the decision — yours.
Evidence before confidence
Every material number links to the page and passage it came from. A figure we can't confirm is shown as an open question, never treated as $0 or as “included.” A gap in the documents is flagged as a gap, not a saving.
Not advice, and we say so
CareCheck provides document-based educational information, not legal, medical, or financial advice, and does not represent you. It helps you understand what your own documents say and what to ask — confirm important decisions with the facility, in writing.
No claims we haven't earned
We don't publish star ratings, review counts, or testimonials — we don't have real ones to show, and we'd rather leave that space empty than fake it. Our guides are written in-house to describe common contract language, not licensed or AI-bulk filler.
Why independence is the whole point
Much of the senior-living information online is paid for by the facilities it describes — directories that earn a placement fee when a family tours or moves in, communities that sponsor the "top 10" list they appear on. That's a reasonable business model for a marketplace. It is a real conflict of interest for anyone trying to give a family an honest read of a specific contract in front of them.
CareCheck only ever gets paid by the family reviewing a document. We don't list facilities, rank them, or take a placement fee from anyone. When CareCheck flags a conflict between a written offer and the signed agreement, or a rate-increase clause with no stated cap, there is no commercial reason to soften it.
What "evidence before confidence" actually means
Every cost figure, term, and conflict CareCheck surfaces is grounded in a specific page and passage of a document you uploaded — not inferred, not estimated from a national average. Material amounts go through a second verification pass. When something genuinely isn't in the documents, we say Not found or Needs clarification, and explain what that term usually covers so you know what to ask — we never fill a gap with a guess or a zero.
