Is CareCheck really independent?
Yes. CareCheck does not accept referral fees or any payment from senior living communities, and never will. The family who buys a review is the only customer, so the analysis works for one side of the decision — yours — and not for the facilities being compared.
Which documents can I upload?
Residency or admission agreements, fee schedules and pricing sheets, care assessments, brochures, written offers, addenda, rate-change letters, and monthly invoices. PDFs and clear photos both work, and one document is enough to start. More documents let CareCheck check whether they agree with each other.
How accurate is it?
Every material number links to the page and passage it came from, and the extraction is checked against that source. Amounts get a second verification pass. If a figure can't be confirmed against the documents, it is shown as an open question — never as a fact, and never as $0. You can correct any value and the totals update.
What if a term isn't in my documents?
CareCheck shows it as Not found and explains what that term usually covers, so you can ask the facility for it in writing. A missing charge is never treated as $0 or as “included” — a gap in the documents is flagged as a gap, not a saving.
How long does an assisted living contract review take?
Usually a few minutes from upload to result. The analysis runs securely on our servers even if you close the tab, so you can start it, step away, and come back to the finished review and the questions to ask.
Do state rules matter?
Yes. Assisted living is regulated state by state and terminology varies. CareCheck tells you what your documents appear to say; it does not rule on whether a clause complies with your state's law. For that, and for guarantor or arbitration language, it points you to an elder-law attorney or your Long-Term Care Ombudsman.
What does an assisted living contract review cost?
The Contract Check is a one-time $69 purchase for one facility, with a free preview first so you can see real findings before paying. There is no subscription to review a contract. If an analysis failed or was clearly wrong, contact support and we will correct it or refund it.

Confirm important decisions with the facility in writing and, when appropriate, a qualified professional.
