Privacy Policy
What CareCheck collects, why, who it's shared with, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address, and a display name if you provide one.
- Documents you upload and the information extracted from them — facility names, fees, care levels, dates, and contract terms. These can include a resident's name and health-related details if your documents contain them.
- Usage information: anonymous analytics on the public marketing pages via Google Analytics 4 (with ad personalisation and Google signals turned off and IP anonymised). The signed-in product carries no third-party analytics.
- Payment information is handled by our processor, Polar. We receive confirmation of a purchase and its status, not your card details.
How we use it
To run your analysis, show you results, let you and people you invite collaborate, provide support, process purchases, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your information. We do not use your documents to train AI models, and we do not create advertising audiences from your uploaded content or findings.
Who we share it with
- Anthropic — relevant portions of document text, to extract fees and terms. Anthropic does not train on API content.
- Polar — to process payments.
- Cloudflare — our hosting and storage provider.
- People you invite to a decision.
We may disclose information if required by law. Our team does not access your document contents without your specific, time-limited permission.
Retention
Documents and results are kept while your decision is active and for up to 12 months after your last activity, then deleted. You can delete a document, a decision, or your whole account at any time; deletion is immediate.
Your choices
Export your data or delete your account from the Account screen. Contact support@assistedlivingcheck.com with any privacy request.
Health-related information
CareCheck is not a HIPAA covered entity. We handle document contents as sensitive regardless, because they often contain identifiable health and financial details. The US FTC Health Breach Notification Rule may apply to us; we would notify affected users of a qualifying breach as required.
